LE FILM ET LA PLUME
|
Jérôme-Cecil Auffret has received several major awards, including an Emmy from the prestigious International Emmy Awards.
Screenwriter and Director of around forty films for television, most of which have been seen by over 80 million viewers internationally, Jérôme-Cecil likes constructing his films with universal values. Eclectic, he uses either fiction or documentary support indifferently to sustain narratives taking place in absolute simplicity. First acquainted through his studies in the fields of history, anthropology, and by his aspirations for adventure and discovery, he enjoys exploring the great outdoors that nature offers, at once geographic and timeless, thus like human nature. As a writer, he has collaborated with screenwriters, Michel Fessler for Boréales, Alain Gillot for Gaumont, and the Egyptologue novelist, Christian Jacq for France Télévision Group. Author and director of documentary collections with Serge Moati, Stéphane Peyron, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Frédéric and Barthélémy Fougea, Canal +, France 5, Nat-Geo, Discovery Channel and lately ARTE, Jérôme-Cecil today focuses his work towards ambitious, challenging and innovative prototypes. Adviser to the design and writing conception of many projects, including new online audiences, Jérôme-Cecil now demands more and more from the alchemical meeting between the pen and the Internet, reservoir for the majority of the public to come. Always sailing between documentary authenticity and narrative force of impact, he seeks to explore new themes like the potential of new media, such as the feminization of our society, spirituality, education, and intriguing detours of human history. |
